Eileen L. “Jo” Faber age 73 a resident of Union Grove, WI passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at Oakridge Care Center in Union Grove WI.
Born on August 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Hilbert and Rose (Osinga) Nowak.
She was a graduate of Racine Lutheran High School.
On September 30, 1972, she would marry Donald Faber. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She was employed as a secretary and retired from Unico in Franksville after 30+ years of service.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Caledonia. Her faith and church were very important to her and she was an active volunteer for many years. She was a member of LWMS (Lutheran Womens Mission Society) and also volunteered at Trinity and Shoreland Lutheran High School. She was a member of the Racine Chapter of Professional Secretaries International (PSI) for many years during her secretarial career. While a member of PSI she held the offices of Treasurer, Secretary, and was elected President for the 1995/96 term.
Jo loved to spend time with her family and travel. She and Don took many trips exploring this beautiful country. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was affectionately called Grandma Jo. The most recent loves of her life were her precious great grandchildren, who called her G.G., for great grandma.
She is survived by two daughters, Wendy (David) Meyer of Kiel WI, Michell (Hugh) Thompson of Mt. Pleasant WI, and five grandchildren; Dustin (Alyssa) Davitz, Andrea Meyer, Anthony Meyer, William Meyer and Charlotte Meyer and two great grandchildren, Millie and Weston Davitz. She is further survived by special cousins and very dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters (Bernice and Delores), and her husband, Donald.
A memorial church service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Caledonia WI. (7900 Nicholson Road) Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services.
