Edward L. Klemens, age 95 a resident of Paris WI, died Wednesday June 28, 2006 in Burlington WI.
Born on May 14, 1911 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Leo and Julia (Skendziel) Klemens.
He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
On January 28, 1938, he married Catherine Theresa Klemko at St. Peters Catholic Church in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on November 6, 2004.
Along with his wife, for many years, they owned and operated Red Oaks Tavern in Paris WI. He also was employed at AMC as a millwright.
He was an avid sportsman, and loved to fish and hunt. He also liked to golf.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Paris. He also was one of the founders of the Conservation Club located in Bristol.
He is survived by two daughters; Donna Long of Racine, Sandra (Roger) Beth of Paris, six grandchildren; Jeff Long, Mike Long, Dean Long, Dave Beth, Doug Beth, Deanna Krumm, nine great grandchildren; Nathan, Parker, Kendall, Kenna, Kazi, Evan, Walker, Jack, Erin and two brothers; Albert Klemens of Milwaukee and Joseph Klemens of Savoy IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters Helen Beare, Irene Anderson and one brother John Klemens.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday July 1, 2006 at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paris. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00AM until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
