Edith Peltier (1938 – 2011)

Edith Marian Peltier, age 72 a resident of Racine, passed away Thursday January 6, 2011 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints in Racine.

Edith was born on May 11, 1938 to the late Alexander and Edith (Maercklein) Thome. She was educated in the schools of Racine. In December 1977 she married Gerald Peltier in Lake County IL. Edith was employed by Chrysler until her retirement in 1988. Edith loved her family and friends and always offered a helping hand. She will be sadly missed by all.

Edith is survived by one son Raymond (Ann) Werlein of Forest Lake MN and one daughter Deborah Hillsman of Racine. She is also survived by six grandchildren Steven, Elyse, Samantha, Robert, Lauren and Jenna. Edith is further survived by one brother Richard Thome of Racine.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2002, and one sister Catherine Monosa.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 15, 2011 at Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church (625 College Ave) at 10:00 AM.
