Dorothy Joan Kennedy Propsom, age 92, a resident of Kenosha, died Monday February 8, 2010 at Hospitality Manor in Kenosha.
Dorothy was born on August 29, 1917 in Kenosha.
On May 11, 1940 Dorothy married John Propsom in Dubuque, IA. They were married for 24 years.
Dorothy graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. She went back years later and graduated from Marquette Law School, 2nd in her class. She was one of only two women in Law School at that time. Dorothy worked in Family Law in Kenosha for 30 years. Dorothy loved to play the piano and made the best Irish Pot Roast.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband John on February 12, 1965 and her son Timothy in July 2003.
Dorothy is survived by her grandson Jason and two great grandchildren Barrett and Meadow of Florida.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday February 12, 2010 at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (1919 54th Street). Visitation with the family will be held on Friday February 12, 2010 at the church from 9:30AM until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at St. George Catholic Cemetery.
