RACINE – The Lord redeemed the soul of Dorothy Louise (Woolrage) Primuth on October 13, 2017 at Shorelight Memory Care, based on her faith in God’s Word.
A lifelong resident of Racine, Dorothy was born on July 10, 1933, to James and Elaine Woolrage. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1951, and in that same year she met Rudolph (Rudy) Primuth at church and went bowling on their first date. They were married in 1956 at Racine Bible Church. In 1964 they adopted their daughter Tori, and in 1967 adopted their son Ryan. Dorothy was a clerical worker for Oster Manufacturing and Dumore Corporation until her retirement in 1965, after which she worked part-time for the Town of Caledonia and the Village of Wind Point.
While her hometown was relatively small, Dorothy’s life was not – and neither was her heart. She was naturally generous of spirit and never hesitated to share that generosity with others in the form of sewing, crochet, and quilting projects, her famous three-layer brownies, or a warm hug and kind word. A born again Christian, she was actively involved in her church, Racine Bible, where she was a lifelong member. She and Rudy enjoyed square dancing together and were regular world travelers. Dorothy’s favorite international trip was a two-week tour of Israel, but there was no travel she loved more than visiting her family throughout the U.S.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sara Hudec. She is survived by her husband, Rudolph; son, Ryan Primuth; daughter, Tori Miller; grandchildren Bethany (Mark) Harbison, Allison (Ethan) Jones, Craig Miller, Molly Miller, and Brett Miller; and great-grandson, Hudson Jones; sister, Joan (Marvin) Bosteder; brothers David (Lynn) Woolrage, and James (Joan) Woolrage; brothers-in-law David (Carol) Primuth and Richard (Vicki) Primuth.
The family would like to thank the staff at Shorelight Memory Care and Allay Hospice, as well as Jim and Joan Woolrage, for their faithful and loving care and support during Dorothy’s final days.
A funeral service will be held at Racine Bible Church, 12505 Spring Street, Sturtevant, WI, on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. A lunch reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Racine Bible Church Missions Fund.
