Dorothy A. Torgerson (1947-2015)

Dorothy Ann Torgerson (Bonse), 68, a resident of Kenosha, went home to Jesus on May 21^st, 2015 with her loving family by her side.

Dorothy was born on May, 5^th 1947, in Walsenburg, Colorado to the late Nick and Catherine Bonse. She was raised and educated in Pueblo,Colorado. She was a graduate of Scotts School of Cosmetology and worked as a Beautician for many years.

On October 9, 1969 she married the love of her life Thomas L. Torgerson, Sr. and they were married for 45 years.

Dorothy worked at Trust Mark Insurance for 15 years before retirement. Her biggest passion in life was for the Lord and Journey Church which she was a member. She was a wonderful, caring person who would assist anyone in need with help or prayer. Dorothy was a talented artist who loved to paint for loved ones and friends.  She truly touched everyone’s life who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her Husband, Thomas L. Torgerson and three children; Lisa (Alex) Pappert, Thomas, Jr. (Nicole) Torgerson and John Torgerson. Four Grandchildren; Tiffany (Chris) Nauta, Taylor Pappert, Anna and Michael Torgerson.  She was preceeded in death by an infant son; James Lee Torgerson.

The family would like to thank Hospice Alliance as well as St. Catherines ICU for their care and support.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 26^th 2015 at 12:00 noon at Journey Church in Kenosha. (10700-75^th Street)  Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services. Burial will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.

Dorothy’s wishes are that memorial donations be given to Journey Church.
