Doris Allen (1939 – 2007)

Doris R. Allen, Jr., age 68, a resident of Racine, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Racine.

She was born on February 8, 1939 in Racine to Max and Florence (Wilda) Krofta.

She was educated in the schools of Racine.

She Married William Jr. on January 27, 1960 at First Presbyterian Church in Racine.

She was a member of First Reformed Church of Racine, Friends of Seniors, and the Hope Safehouse for Animals.

She was a homemaker in her own home and also provided childcare in her home for many families. She enjoyed watching QVC on TV and was a ?Quacker?.

She is survived by her husband; son Dean (Korena) Allen of Milwaukee; daughters Lisa (Brad) Liberty of Racine, and Anita Allen of Antioch IL; six grandchildren Clayton, Ava, Annalisa, Jarred, Sabrina, and Sara; and two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Maxwell.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 11:00am at First Reformed Church (7110 Old Spring St.). Visitation will take place at the Church at 10:00am until the time of service. Burial will take place on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 10:00am at Westlawn Memorial Park.
