Darlene Wells (1933 – 2010)

In loving memory of Darlene Beverly Wells (Callow). Darlene went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 23, 2010. Born in Kenosha Wisconsin on July 27, 1933, she was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Lilly (White), her husband John Wojciechowski, and later Vernon E. Wells, her brothers William, Wayne, Burt and Ozzie, and her sisters Marian, Dorothy and June.

Darlene is survived by her children Cindy Escue, Sherry (Gary) Helgesen, Gail Sweeny, Scott (Michelle) Wells, and Chuck (Sue) Wells, her step-children Phil Wells, Arnie (Ruth) Wells, and Lois Pavlovich, 24 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Darlene was best remembered as a homemaker. She loved the Chicago Cubs, Bingo, and a family game of cards. She spent many years coaching sports for her children and then many more supporting her grandchildren from the stands. She was a life long member of Wesley United Methodist Church where she raised all of her children to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her love for singing is left in the hearts of all she passed her melodies to and will live on for years to come.

Darlene received an honorary award from the Little League Club of Kenosha for her years of support.

If God rewards us for how we did with what we were given, her reward in heaven will be great. Her family will remember her every time they put on a pair of socks. She is loved and will be missed greatly.

Funeral services will be held on Monday November 29th 2010 at 10:00AM at Wesley United Methodist Church in Kenosha. (4600-60th Street) Visitation will be on Sunday at the church from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, and again on Monday from 9:00AM until time of services. Darlene will be laid to rest at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated with memorials to be designated later.
