Darlene Pier

In loving memory of Darlene Pier, 90, of Kenosha who was born to eternal life on Thursday February 8, 2024 at Clairidge House.

She was born March 31, 1933 in Kenosha and the only child of the late Alvin and Frieda (Eckhart) Maurer.  She attended Kenosha schools.

Darlene enjoyed many hobbies during the years including gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, plastic canvas crafts and she built a miniature log cabin including all the furniture.  One of her fondest memories was when she spent time as a child with her grandmother on their family farm.

She is survived by five children: Larry, Steven, Shevawn (Gerald Drewicz), Michele (Alan Jelinek) and Daniel. Darlene also had seven grandchildren: Eric (Abby) , Crystal, Erin (Kevin Adkins), Jessica (Andrew Krenz), Kaitlyn (John Shuler), Timothy and Kristina (Chad Pate).  Seven great grandchildren include: Jayden, Emma, Adilyn, August, Maisie, Chad Jr and Kaylee.

Preceding her in death were her parents, son Jeffrey and ex-husband Gordon.
