Coletta R Lobacz, age 92, passed away on September 19, 2011.
Born in Kenosha of Nicholas and Mary Roders, she married Edward A Lobacz on October 13, 1945. She was educated in the Kenosha Public School system and worked at Snap on Tools during WWII. While raising four children she obtained her teaching certificate from Union Grove Teachers’ College. She taught 5th grade at St. Thomas Aquinas School from 1963-1981. Together with her husband they were very active at St. Thomas Aquinas Church where they were long time members. She most recently was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
She is survived by her four children Edward J of Kenosha, Dorothea (Thomas) Shaffer of Hoffman Estates IL, the Very Reverend James Lobacz of Milwaukee and Susan (David) Carney of Kenosha. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday September 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (4816 7th Avenue) with the Very Reverend James Lobacz officiating and the Most Reverend Jerome Listecki, Archbishop of Milwaukee, conducting the commendation. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday September 24, 2011 from 9:00 AM until the time of mass.
