Clarissa O. Welch, age 90 a resident of Racine, died Tuesday September 20, 2005 at St. Mary?s Medical Center.
Born on May 4, 1915 in Helena Montana, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Atwood) Bower.
Educated in the schools of Montana, as a young girl she moved to Indiana and graduated from high school. She then moved to the Union Grove area for teacher schooling.
On September 24, 1938 she married Harley Welch in Indiana. He died May 8, 2003.
She was employed by the schools of Racine County for almost 30 years and retired from Raymond School at Raymond Center in 1979.
She attended services at True Life Church in Racine. She loved to crochet and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She loved her family, and was very proud of all of them, and treasured the time she could spend with them.
She is survived by three sons; Donald (Ann) Welch of Carmel IN, Charles (Joy)Welch of Green Bay, Dale (Barbara) Welch of Marinette WI; one daughter Kathleen (Raymond) Paradowski of Racine; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one sister Elisabeth Hodge of Wolcottville IN.
Funeral services for Mrs. Welch will be held on Saturday September 24, 2005 at 3:30PM at True Life Church in Racine. (9605-Spring Street) Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Burial will take place in Kennan Memorial Cemetery in Kennan WI on Wednesday September 28, 2005 at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
