Christopher Scott Gunderson, age 44, lifelong resident of Kenosha, passed away on February 2nd, 2026, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born on November 22nd, 1981, in Kenosha to Lenny P. Gunderson and Tracy L. Webb. On May 19th, 2007, he married the love of his life Denise Schmoldt in Kenosha. The two remained faithfully married until his passing.
Christopher was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing and hunting. He loved working on his Chevy S-10 truck with his son Landon. He was a true family man, always putting his family and friends first. Chris loved sweets and his nieces and nephews used to joke with him and affectionately called him “Uncle Candy”.
Christopher is survived by his loving wife: Denise Gunderson, parents: Lenny (Laura) Gunderson and Tracy Webb, children: Lilliana Gunderson and Landon Gunderson, brothers: Kyle (Erica) Gunderson and Timothy (Amanda) Gunderson, nieces and nephews: Emma (Ethan), Myles, Sophia, Lucas, Ethan, Elsie, Ashley and Makayla, brother in law: Chad (Kelly) Schmoldt, mother and father in law: Karen and Bruce Schmoldt.

He is preceded in death by his grandma and grandpa Webb and grandma and grandpa Gunderson.
A public visitation will be held at Kemper Center Founder’s Hall (6501 3rd Ave) on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, from 4 P.M. until 6 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Christopher’s family are greatly appreciated.
