Christine M. Van Boven age 69 born in Kenosha, died Saturday February 1st 2014 at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.
Christine was born on April 7, 1944 in Kenosha to Pasquale and Divina (Sturino) LeRose. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. In 1969 she married Charles Anderson. They would later divorce. She then married Richard Van Boven who preceded her in death in 2001.
Christine worked for over ten years as a manager at Lambs Farms and worked for a time at First Bank Southeast. She attended mass at St. James Catholic Church. Gardening was a hobby of hers and she loved to “pound dirt”, growing vegetables and rose bushes. She was especially fond of her pet dogs.
Christine is survived by her son Jason Anderson of Redondo Beach CA, her brother Anthony “Tony” (Laura) LeRose of Florida, and by her sisters Mary Malko of Kenosha and Ruth Ley of Hopedale MA. Also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Leonard and John LeRose, her sister Anastasia LeRose and by her brother in law Paul Malko.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 8th 2014 at St. Mark Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of mass. Burial will take place at a later date at St. George Catholic Cemetery.
