Dec. 19,1942 – Nov. 19, 2010Charles (Chuck) Dunn Jr.(67) passed away at St. Catherines Hospital Friday, Nov. 19th, 2010. He resided at Hospitality Manor in Kenosha WI.
Born December 19, 1942 in Waukegan IL., Chuck was the son of Dorothy (nee: Sherry) Dunn and Charles W Dunn Sr.(Alice). His family moved to Kenosha when he was a child. Chuck went to local schools and graduated with a GED in 1994. Chuck served in the U.S. Air Force post Korean War from 12/1960 – 11/1961. Chuck married the love of his life, Donna M. Woods on February 14th, 1981. Chuck’s occupations included working at Metalex and in automotive retail, which he thoroughly enjoyed before retiring at the age of 64. They lived in Apache Junction Az. for 11 years before moving back to Kenosha to help take care of their grandchildren. They were members of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church. Chuck enjoyed playing cribbage, computer games, going to Bingo, and watching the History Channel, but most of all he had a great love for old cars. During his free time, Chuck enjoyed his wife traveling with his wife to the Bad Lands in Missouri and visiting his cousin and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are his siblings: Louis Heimerl of Apache Junction Az, Gail (Heimerl) (Gerald) Dosemagen of Kenosha WI; Children: Jeanette Dunn of MA, Karen Robinson of Kenosha WI; Stepchildren: Scott (Lorna) Wincek of Kenosha WI, Jay Podella of LaCrosse WI, Carla (Podella)(Glenn) Thomas of Somers WI, John Podella of Kenosha WI, Stephanie (Podella)(Tracy) Nickel of Pleasant Prairie WI; Grandchildren: Chazz Griffith, Anastasia Griffith, Eliza Griffith, Brianna Griffith, Britney Robinson, Sara Starling, Amanda Starling, AbbieJo (Podella)(Brad) Greeman, Justin Podella, Jordan Podella, Tiffany (Thomas) Boner, Jeffery Thomas, Jacob Thomas; and Great Grandchildren: Merrick Griffith, Arista Robinson, Nixie Miller, Xander Miller and Carter Greeman.
Chuck was preceeded by his sister-in-law BettyJo (Sanders) Heimerl, His mother, Dorothy, and his Father Charles(Charlie) Dunn Sr.A private memorial service for immediate family and friends will be held at his family’s home on Saturday December 4th, 2010.
