Charles Silva Barros born on October 1, 1924 in Honolulu, Hawaii to John and Christine Barros.
Charles worked in Pearl Harbor shipyards until December 7, 1941. He was in the Merchant Marines until the end of the war.
He married Gloria Horn in Minneapolis MN. They moved to Kenosha in 1950, where he worked as a carpenter. In 1958 he started at American Motors, retiring in 1986 after 28 years.
Charles is survived by his wife; one daughter Candice (Gary) Tashek; one granddaughter Tracy Tallon; two great-grandchildren Travis and Katie of Stoughton, WI; one sister Georgia Takegushi of Marina, GA; and numerous cousins in Hawaii.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a son Steven in 1962.
As per the wishes of Mr. Barros the Funeral will be private for family only. The burial will be at Sunset Ridge Cemetery.
