Charlene H. Tarver, age 70, a resident of Kenosha, died Thursday May 7th, 2015, at Aurora Home Hospice in Wauwatosa.
Born on March 5th,1945, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Alfred O. and Anna (Aull) Keller.
She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
In 1962, she married James Forrest in Kenosha. He died in 1968. She then would marry Carl Tarver in 1973 and he would die in 2007.
She was busy as a homemaker in her own home raising seven children. She also found the time to help manage her second husband’s trucking business.
She was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. She was a volunteer in many areas of the church and all of her children were educated there. She loved to crochet and cook and especially loved family gatherings.
She is survived by two sons; Allen (Julie) Forrest of Long Beach, Mississippi; James Forrest of Kenosha; and five daughters: Chyral Forrest of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; Ann (Peter) Barker of Sturtevant, Wisconsin; Jessica (Paul) Eiche of Muskego, Wisconsin; Melissa Tarver of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; and Jewel Tarver of Greenfield, Wisconsin. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Sternbach of Kenosha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and her brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 10th, 2015, at 3:00PM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. (6700-30th Avenue) A time to visit with family will be held on Sunday at the church from 2:30PM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
