Catherine “Dolly” (Spallato) Kemen, age 87, of Kenosha died on April 7th, 2022 at Aurora West Allis Memorial Hospital. Catherine was born on March 6th, 1935 in Kenosha to Frank and Mary (Kinlein) Spallato. She attended Frank Elementary, McKinley Middle and Mary D. Bradford High School. Catherine married Eugene Kemen at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on September 17th, 1955. She retired from Kenosha Unified School District on June 13th, 1993 and also worked at Coopers, now Jockey International. She was a longtime member of St. Marks Catholic Church. Catherine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing ceramics, reading and going to plays and movies.
Catherine is survived by three children Kevin (Michelle) Kemen of Lambertville, MI, Irene (Tom) Gram of Kenosha and Cathy (John) Ash of New Berlin; daughter-in-law, Betty Kemen; Grandchildren- Tommy Gram (Ashley Ahlene) of Buena Vista, CO, Lindsey Gram (Mike Mansky) of Anchorage, AK, John Ash (Cynthia Chiou) of Cincinnati, OH, Eric Ash (Jill Finnel) of Milwaukee, Tom (Jenni) Kruger, Tim (Laura) Kruger, Kurt Kruger and Katy Kruger all of Ohio; Seven Great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and cousins
She was preceded in death by, her husband Eugene T. Kemen, her parents, her son, Michael Kemen; and five brothers, Joseph (Christine), Richard (Shirley), Raymond, Paul (Gladys), and James (Diane).
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 12th, 2022, at 11:00AM in the All Saints Catholic Cemetery Chapel. Visitation will be on Tuesday in the chapel from 10:00AM until the time of prayers.
