Carol J. Kamin, age 87 a resident of Kenosha passed away peacefully Wednesday February 7th, 2024, at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie Campus.
Born on March 11th, 1936, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Lena (Gelsone) Dorff.
She was educated in the school of Kenosha and graduated from Bradford High School.
She married Edward L. Kamin Jr. on August 20th, 1955, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha.
For many years she was a doctor’s secretary, having worked for Dr. Michael Zeihen and Dr. Khoja.
She was a past member of Holy Rosary as well as St Peters and St. Johns Catholic Church in Twin Lakes.
She loved animals of all kinds, dancing, music, cooking for family and friends, home shopping network, golden girls, and most of all being surrounded by her family and giving hugs whenever she could.
She is survived by her loving husband, Edward L. Kamin Jr.; three sons Ed Kamin III, Kevin Kamin and Tim (Stacey) Kamin; three grandchildren Jami (Dimitri) McDaniel, Corey Kamin, Sydney Kamin; three great grandchildren Dominic, Dimitri Jr., Valkyrie and one great great grandchild Vincent. She is further survived by two brothers Peter Dorff Jr. and Leon Dorff (Trish) and two nieces Joanna, Elizabeth, a nephew Peter and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Cody.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday February 15th, 2024, at 5:00PM in the Kemper Center Founders Hall. (6501-3rd Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Thursday in Founders Hall from 3:30PM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated with charities to be designated later.
The family would like to thank the staff of Froedtert South ICU and the fourth floor, as well as Hospice Alliance, Brookside and the Manor for their kind compassionate care.
