Carol Ann Cairo, 71, a resident of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday Sept 14, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Kenosha on August 1, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Penza) Presterl. She attended Grant and St. George schools, and graduated from St. Mary’s high school.
On May 3, 1958, she married Michael P. Cairo at St. George Catholic church. At the time of her death, she was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband Michael; daughter Roseann (Timothy) Monfeli of Racine; sons Michael Jr. (Kelli); Timothy (Lori); Thomas; Daniel (Peggy), all of Kenosha, and John (Iris) of Waukegan, IL.; 12 grand-children and a great grand-son. She is also survived by a sister, Patricia (Burleigh) Noyes, Middletown, CT. and a brother, Richard Presterl, Kenosha and brother in law and sister in law Carol and Larry Berberich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday September 17th 2010 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. (1919-54th Street) Visitation with the family will be on Friday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of mass. As per the wishes of Carol, private entombment will follow at All Saints Catholic Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorials memorials to either Hospice Alliance or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
