Bruce A. Raeburn , age 71, a resident of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday November 28th, 2015 with his family by his side.
Bruce was born in Kenosha on December 4th, 1943 to Frank and Olive Ruth (Hahn) Raeburn. He was educated in the local schools and served proudly with the U.S. Air Force as a Medic. He made his living as an auto parts salesman until his retirement. Bruce was a knowledgeable stamp collector and loved to cook and find new recipes. His greatest joy was being of use, and helping people, especially his family.
Surviving Bruce are his four children; David Pasko of Kenosha, Shelley (Dan) Plummer of Trevor, Kenneth (Jenn) Short of Chippewa Falls and Jennifer (Jimmy) Thompson of Bloomer. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jamie Rae, Tayla, Caleb, Isaac, Robbin, Marshall, Mark, Brandy, Dillon, Damien, Logan, Hannah, Madeline, Dan and Katie and by his brother Gary (Sherre) Raeburn of Aurora, Colorado and his special friend Pat Rossman. In addition, he is survived by many dear friends and family members who went out of their way to make Bruce feel appreciated and cared for in his last weeks.
Thanks to Lynn from Aurora @ Home Hospice for her compassionate care, and to the staff and residents of Hospitality Nursing and Rehab who meant so much to Bruce.
A memorial service for Bruce will be held on Saturday December 5th, 2015 at 11:00am at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Chapel (corner of Highway 31 and Washington Road). After a brief service, full military honors will be held.
