Betty Lou Sparkman, age 85, a resident of Libertyville, passed away on Thursday April 14th, 2016 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Betty was born in Chicago on December 16th, 1930 to Curtis and Lillian (Kaiser) Fincham. In 1947, she married Red McCarty. They would later divorce. In 1961, she married Charles Sparkman. He preceded her in death in October of 2015.
Betty was employed by The Globe department store in Antioch and many other retail establishments. She owned and operated Sparkman Dairy Service and also owned multiple delicatessens in the Chicago area. Betty loved to travel in the United States and enjoyed her time with her dogs.
Betty is survived by her children Bill (Kasey) Sparkman, John (Sandy) Sparkman, Michael Ann (Bob) Vaninni and Stephanie (Chuck) Best, as well as by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one brother Curtis Edward (Mary Lou) Fincham.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband.
