Betty L. Schlater, 91 of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House. She was born in Stanley WI on February 21st, 1932 the daughter of Gilbert and Theodora Brothen (Lund), and was educated in the schools of Stanley WI. Betty was united in marriage on August 21st, 1955 to the late Clyde Schlater.
She was employed with American Motors retiring after 35 years and a member of UAW Local 72. Betty was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church and a very active volunteer helping with the funeral lunches. She was also active at K.A.F.A.S.I.
Betty loved to golf and dog sit for her friends. She was a dedicated Green Bay Packer fan. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.
Betty is survived by her daughter Kim Schlater of Pleasant Prairie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde, 4 brothers, Leroy, Oscar, Orville and Murray, 1 sister Donna Taleronik, 4 nephews Paul, Keith, Michael, and William.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023, at 11:00AM at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church (2001 80th St. Kenosha) Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday at the church from 9:30AM until the time of services. Burial will be at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice Alliance or Safe Harbor Humane Society.
