Audrey Brandes (1928 – 2007)

Audrey J. ‘Jean’ Brandes, age 78, a resident of Kenosha, died Friday March 9, 2007 at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie.

Born on July 20, 1928 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Gladys (Looker) Putrow.

She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.

She was a homemaker in her own home.

She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, and also the Friedens Ladies Aid.

On August 27, 1949 she married Herbert Brandes at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2002.

She is survived by one son Fredrick ?Rick? (Pamela) Brandes of Kenosha; three grandchildren Justin Brandes of Chicago; Jason Brandes and Rachel Brandes both of Kenosha; three brothers Harold (Gloria) Putrow of Kenosha; Wayne Putrow of Florida, and Vernon Putrow of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; and three sons in infancy; Herbert, John, and Jeffrey.

The family will be conducting a memorial service on Sunday March 11, 2007 at 1:00PM at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenosha at 5038-19th Avenue. Visitation will be at service time. Private burial will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to either Hospice Alliance or to the Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Youth Group.
