Arthur “Bud” Harford

Arthur “Bud” Harford, a resident of Kenosha, passed away on November 2nd 2024. He was 72 years old.

Bud was born in Canada to loving parents Harry and Bess Harford. At a young age the family relocated to Racine. He was educated in the Racine School System, and in high school met the love of his life, Natalie Heron. The two were married in 1972 and would spend the next 52 years together. They were blessed with two sons, Keefe and Shawn. Bud worked for Modine for 40 years before retiring 8 years ago.

Bud was very project oriented and in his free time would always find something to build or fix around the house. He was also a passionate follower of Jesus and loved attending Jesus Conferences with Natalie and listening to the band Jesus Culture. Bud even went as far as to build his own gathering place in their family home, which he named Abba’s Way. Every Friday for more than 40 years they would host a gathering for people from far and wide, a tradition which brought Bud great joy.

Bud is survived by his wife of 52 years, Natalie Harford, a son Shawn, his brother Brad (Ellen) Harford of Milwaukee, a sister Gayle Meilstrup in Ohio, and his two dogs Liam and Sherlock.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his other son, Keefe.

  • Rest in peace Uncle Bud, we will miss you so much. You brought laughter and joy to our lives. I loved visting with you guys and watching movies and playing all those games. You were strong in your faith, an example for all of us to follow. I know you’re with our Heavenly Father. Know that you are missed and loved. Love to aunt Natalie and Shawn and see you soon.

    Was so sorry to hear of Uncle Bud’s passing. I love this picture of him – haven’t seen him in years and didn’t realize how much he looks like Grandma. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you during these difficult times.

    I had the pleasure of working with Bud at Modine… He was a very talented, wonderful guy, who will be – and is missed!!!

  • Sorry that we could not come to the memorial we were both sick, but to let you know that we will miss all the teaching through his testimonies that helped us to get closer to christ. personally it taught me that every testimony I give it helps other to receive Christ in there hearts.

    Me and Laura will both miss him.
