Arnold W. Iwen, age 81 a resident of Pleasant Prairie formerly of Wausau WI died Thursday September 6, 2018 at Froedtert South Kenosha Medical Center Campus.
Arnold was born on July 28, 1937 in Merrill, WI to Charles and Lillian (Grapp) Iwen. He served in the United States Marine Corp. where he was also a boxer and won 19 of 20 fights. Arnold worked for AMC/Chrysler for 31 years until his retirement in 1991. He loved hunting, the Minnesota Vikings, traveling to the casino and life on his farm.
Arnold is survived by, three sons, Roland (Linda) Iwen of Kenosha, Ronald Iwen of Pleasant Prairie and Reese Iwen of Kenosha; six grandchildren, David, Michelle, James, Tony, Adam and Emma; two sisters, Nina Schmidt and Mae Waller. He was preceded in death by his parents; his longtime companion, Patricia Splettstozer and three brothers, Donald, Kermit and Jim Iwen.
A visitation in Kenosha will take place on Thursday September 13, 2018 at the Kemper Center Founders Hall from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. A visitation in Wausau WI will take place on Monday September 17, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church (501-Stewart Avenue) from 9:30 AM until 11:00AM and will conclude with a brief prayer service. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau WI.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the Kenosha Area Relay for Life would be appreciated.
