Anne M. Thomas, age 96, passed away on Thursday March 10th, 2016 at Kenosha Medical Center with her loving son and “daughter” by her side.
Anne was born on July 21st, 1919 to the late Sylvester and Anna (Hartnek) Sutara, Sr. She graduated from Kenosha High School in 1937. On May 18th, 1946, Anne married George W. Thomas at St. Anthony Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 27th, 1972. Anne worked at Jockey International and she retired from there. She was a life long member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Anne’s most enjoyable times were those spent with her friends and family. Anne maintained her independent living at home with the care and support of Little Red Riding Hood home care agency. Anne spent more than 85 years of her life living in theKenoshahome where she was born.
Surviving Anne are her son Richard “Dick” (Sharon) Thomas of Neshkoro, Wisconsin and her grandchildren Bill Thomas and Allison and Mark Hanson. She is further survived by great grandchildren Brooke and Amelia who will dearly miss their “Grammie”, and by her dear friend Dolores Luebke.
In addition to her husband and her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her brother and his wife Sylvester and Marie Sutara Jr. and in childhood by a brother Joseph and a sister Margaret.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday March 19th, 2016 at 10:00AM at St Elizabeth Catholic Church (4816-7th Avenue). Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of the service. Burial at St. George Catholic Cemetery will take place immediately following services at the church,
