Anne Covelli, age 87, a resident of Kenosha, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at her sons? residence while surrounded by her family.
Born on August 4, 1920 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Nick and Mary (Montemurro) Forgianni.
She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
On January 24, 1947 at Holy Rosary she married Peter Covelli. He would precede her in death.
For many years she was employed at Jockey International.
She was a member of our lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha. She also belonged to the Jockey Retirees and the Italian American ladies Auxiliary. She loved to cook, knit and crochet. For many years she was also an avid bowler. Also in 2005 she was honored as the Italian American Mother of the year.
She is survived by one son; Joseph N. (Linda) Covelli of Kenosha; grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Covelli, and Samantha Covelli; three great grandchildren Krystal, Roman and Olivia; and three sisters, Rose LaMantia, Kathryn (Eugene) Morelli, and Viola Chiapetta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters Angeline Bonaretti, Lucrezia Forgianni, and Josephine Bonofiglo, and one brother Anthony Forgianni.
As per the wishes of the family, a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at 9:30am at All Saints Catholic Cemetery Chapel. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
