Annamay Hort (1925 – 2006)

Anna May Hort, age 80 a resident of Racine, died Tuesday January 3, 2006 at Ridgewood Care Center in Racine.

Born on March 12, 1925 in Racine, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Johanna (Roeschen) Rosa.

A lifelong Racine resident she was educated in the schools of Racine.

On June 22, 1946 she married Fredrick Hort in Racine. He died September 4, 1983.

She was employed by A&E Manufacturing and retired in 1980.

She is survived by two sons Gerald J. (Jan) Hort of mesa AZ, Freddie Hort of Duluth MN; two daughters Linda (Jessie) Segura of Racine, Patti (Mike) Thompson of Ocean park WA; thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; two brothers Thomas (Catherine) Rosa, Vista CA, Clarence Rosa of Racine; and one daughter Joan (Bob) Johnson, Racine. She will be missed by her special friend Helen Aguillen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband one son Robert T. Hort; a baby daughter and two baby boys in infancy; two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 9, 2006 at Cristo Rey in Racine (800 Wisconsin Avenue) at 11:00AM. Visitation will take place on Monday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
