Andrew H. Jacobi, age 77, died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at United Hospital Systems Kenosha Medical Center Campus.
Born on July 18, 1929, in Chicago IL he was the son of then late Joseph and Mary (Urban) Jacobi.
On October 5, 1963, he married Marguerite C. Von Alst in Beach Park IL. She preceded him in death.
He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. He was employed for many years as a steelworker with US Steel in North Chicago, IL. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially wood working and loved doing odd jobs.
He is survived by three loving grandchildren; Jason Herring of San Pedro CA; Matthew (Ronda) Herring of Pleasant Prairie WI; Ryan Herring of Pleasant Prairie WI; two great grandchildren; Mandalyn and Ryker Herring, both of Pleasant Prairie; and one half brother; Lester (Kathy) Custer of Peoria IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter Cheryl Hellige in June of 2000, and his sister Florence (Jacobi) Kirby.
Funeral services for Mr. Jacobi will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 10:00AM at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery Chapel at 3300-Springbrook Rd. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the cemetery from 9:30AM until of the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
