Kenneth Jennings

Kenneth Jennings 1945 – 2022 A life well Lived

Ken was born in Chicago, on June 12th, 1945 to Matilda Czerwinski Jennings and Ernest Jennings. Ken came to live in Kenosha County as a small child when his family moved here. He spent summers on the lake in their cottage that he loved, and he was an exceptional water skier including even barefoot. He was in the sun so much that his natural blond hair would turn nearly white, and his fair skin to golden brown in striking appearance.

Ken graduated from Kenosha Schools and went on to excel in mechanical expertise as a journeyman in many trades; from Tool and Die to a skilled Gunsmith who did work for local law enforcement and helped to educate the ATF agents he worked with. He ran the I.A.M. Union and the entire Chrysler tool department for years. As a student of history, he was proud to be a part of it.

Ken and his lifetime love Kathee knew each other from junior high school on; and realized they were soul mates in the intervening years; marrying at the age of 20.

Ken has lost his brave battle with many illnesses he suffered with for over 10 years. He was loved into a new life with the Lord peacefully at home, with his family around him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and cared for him.

Ken is Survived by his wife of 57 wonderful years; Kathee Petersen Jennings, two daughters; Kristi (Tim) Giovanelli, Kami Jennings; three granddaughters; Jade and Genesis Troha; Shawna Giovanelli, and Michael Juliano who was like a son, one grandson Daniel (Jowell) Giovanelli, and great grandson Edward Giovanelli; one sister Jackie Jennings, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents on both sides, brother-in-law James l. (Bev) Petersen and James’ grandson Andrew. A memorial will be held, and if you wish to celebrate his  life with us, please join us at Kemper Center Founders Hall on beautiful Lake Michigan Shores Kenosha between the hours of 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

    Dad,

There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss you. The only thing that gives me comfort is knowing your not in ill health anymore. You’re home with Jesus. Like I told you it’s not goodbye. It’s still we meet again! Love you dad!!!
