Richard F. Kramer, Age 73 of Kenosha, WI passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Froedtert South. Richard was born on September 11, 1948 in Kenosha, to the late Francis and E. Lorraine (Schmidt) Kramer. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and was a Vietnam Veteran having served two years in the Vietnam War.
On May 22, 1981, Richard married the love of his life JoAnne Martin and they shared 40 years of marriage until her death on July 16, 2021. Collectively, they had five loving children. His love of cars led him to his career as a Master Tech Auto Mechanic.
He was an avid fisherman. He and JoAnne loved going out in the early a.m. and fish the waters of Lake Geneva and Browns Lake, and especially loved heading up north to Richards parents home in St. Germain to fish on the beautiful lake. Richard also loved his Chicago Bears and was also known to pull a few slot machine handles! If he didn’t have a fishing pole, a slot handle or a fist to throw at the television, you probably would find him with a pool cue in his hand, as he loved playing the game of pool. He and JoAnne would also sit and cheer proudly at countless sporting events of their grandsons.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Frances and E. Lorraine Kramer, his wife JoAnne, daughter Shannon Kramer, and his brother Ron Kramer. Left behind to cherish his memory are his children Laura (Fred) McDonald of Slidell, LA, Christopher (Ann) Martin, Linda (Todd Molgaard) Baur, both of Kenosha and Rick Kramer, Jr. of Green Bay, WI. His loving grandsons, Clifford McDonald of Macon, GA, Blake Baur of San Antonio, TX, Alex Martin of Kenosha, and Joshua of California. His two sisters, Ruth Spence of Kenosha and RaeAnn (Jim) Szmanski of Wausaukee, WI along with his loving Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Richards special friends, Scott and Julie, Gerri, and Cheryl. Great neighbors Brittney, Marty & Sherry—he loved you all. Also, the wonderful staff at Froedtert South for the excellent loving care.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Kemper Center – Founder’s Hall (6501 – 3rd Avenue) at 10:00 A.M. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will be at 1:00 P.M. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery.
