Sheila Kapplehoff of Kenosha passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021. She was born on May 13th, 1976 to the late Lawrence and Geraldine (McAleer) Kapplehoff. Sheila attended St. Mark’s School and Reuther High School. She then graduated with her associates degree in Human Services specializing in Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse at Gateway Technical College and Upper Iowa University in 2014. Sheila worked at the Hope Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse of Kenosha as the Intoxicated Driver Program Assistant.
She loved crocheting, playing with her dogs Emma and Abbie, and spending time with her family especially her granddaughter Malia.
Sheila is survived by her former husband, Ahjamah “A.J.” Varnado; her daughter, Maggie (Malik) Baiyewu; her granddaughter Malia, and her three siblings, Karyn Richards, Kenneth (Debbie) and Bernard Kapplehoff. Sheila’s parents proceeded her in death.
A private family services will be held for Sheila with her immediate relatives.
Sheila was loving, caring, fun and kind. She was loved and will be missed dearly by her daughter, granddaughter, siblings, and beloved family and friends.
