Charles B short says:
As one of the original teachers at Tremper, I knew David in that 1964-65 school year while not having him as one of my classroom students, instead in a study hall. Old Annex building, study hall third floor. David was in the very first graduating class of Tremper 1965. . I found him very likeable and we bonded. Later when he returned to KUSD as a teacher we once again connected, as teachers. It’s probably been 30 years since we last connected but to my surprise when I saw this obituary I was shocked and saddened. David was absolutely a good guy. So sorry to see him pass and my condolences to him family.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss and a loss to us all. David was one of my art teachers until I graduated in 1977. He knew how to inspire creativity, but also deep thought and critical thinking. I have since become an art therapist/educator for over 40 years since. Thinking of you, especially as you say farewell today.
