Dennis W. Kozak

Dennis W. Kozak, age 82, of Kenosha passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born on March 22, 1938 in Kenosha to Leo and Lillian (Zawacki) Kozak. He attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1956. Dennis served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1956 to 1958. He married Jean Migliano on November 8, 1958 at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage.  Dennis started out in construction, before going to MacWhyte and retired from J.I. Case as a journeyman machine repairman.  He was very good with his hands and loved working on projects, this included building the house that he and Jean have lived in for the past 42 years. He also enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewers fan. Dennis enjoyed visiting his son, Dennis and family in Arizona. Dennis and Jean liked going on casino bus trips. His greatest joy was family get togethers and visits from the grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially Savannah and Eden who visited often.

He was preceded in death by, his parents; two sisters, Sandy Kozak and Donna Hansche; father-in-law, Joseph Migliano and mother-in-law, Yola Robsel, whom he was extremely fond of both, and a brother-in-law, Frank Cistaro.

Dennis is survived by, his wife, Jean; three caring and loving children, Denise (Kevin) Hinich, Dennis (Janet) Kozak and Joe (Shelly) Kozak; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Corey Finnigan, Dr. Dani (Andy) Kozak Joy, Kelcey (Kayleigh), Brett (Anna) and Natalie (Brian) Kozak and Mallory Suess; 11 great grandchildren, Denleigh, Hadleigh, Savannah, Gage, Skyler, Eden, Bryleigh, Logan, Kaydence, Wesleigh and Joseph “J.T.”, Dennis was affectionately called GaGa by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Two devoted sisters-in-law, Judy Cistaro and JoAnn (John) Principe; a special niece, Debbie Phillips; special nephews, Frank Cistaro and Jon Principe. Dennis also cherished his longtime friendship with Adolph and Judy Migliano, as well as many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Due to Covid restrictions, services for Dennis were private for the family. Dennis was laid to rest at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum on Friday, February 5th, 2021.
