Bill Newling, 50, unexpectedly passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 24, 2020. There was no problem he couldn’t solve, and no person he wouldn’t help. Bill is survived by his children Stockton and Tucker, wife Judy, parents Rodney and Caren, sisters Pam (Al) Jackson and Cari (Keith) Richter, and nieces and nephews. Private memorial to be held at a later date.
Jennifer Lien says:
Rod, Caren, Pam, Cari and family:
Although it has been a couple of decades since I lived across the street from you all, thoughts of Bill and your family still make me smile. You were always laughing, welcoming, and kind. One of my favorite memories is sitting on your backstep in Minnesota during a star-filled evening, drinking red kool-aid in fancy cups, eating Oreos from a decorative plate, and talking with Bill about the universe. He was determined to convince me there is an afterlife. After all these years, I hope he was right and is living his dreams.
There are more great memories of our time spent with your family at Mille Lacs Lake – boating, fishing, and driving gravel roads with Bill. Bill was a big part of my younger years and for that I am thankful.
Sending you all love and healing.
