Brandon Wilson

Brandon Armond Wilson, Age 22, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 13, 2016 in Holcumbe, Wisconsin. He was born July 9, 1993 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Beth (Mielke) Cooks and Armond L. Wilson. He attended local schools and graduated from Tremper High School, and attended Gateway Technical College for HVAC. He was employed by Advanced Flooring of Kenosha before moving to Holcumbe, where he was employed by Close Harvesting and Construction in Cornell, Wisconsin. Currently, he had been very proud to be working as an apprentice, following in his Uncle Jay’s and grandpa’s footsteps, at Tristar Heating and Cooling in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

Growing up, Brandon loved playing basketball with his friends, hanging out with his cousins, and working with his grandpa. He always felt very protective of his mother and younger brother. And had been known to stand up for others. Everyone who knew him, considered him to be a loving, hardworking country boy, who loved to joke around, and always had a smile on his face that made you wonder what he was up to. Brandon was also an avid outdoorsman. He was a dedicated and skilled deer hunter, often spending countless hours in the woods. Other joys in his life included fishing, maintaing the families land up north, four wheeling, exploring the woods, and keeping the family cozy with the bonfires he made.

He is survived and missed by his mother, Beth (Mielke) Cooks of Kenosha, his father, Armond Wilson of Florida, and stepfather, Ryan Cooks of Kenosha, his brother, Kyale Cooks of Kenosha, and his sisters, Gabrielle Wilson of Kenosha,  and  Britni (Cooks) Moses of California.

He is further survived by his grandparents, Patrick and Kathryn (Jakob) Robert of Kenosha,  Linda (Anderson) Mielke of Florida, John Broadnax Jr. of Chicago, Charity (Spann) Cooks of Kenosha, great-grandparents John and Sophie Broadnax of Chicago, along with a multiude of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also greatly missed by his four-legged best friend, Max.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, William “Cowboy” Mielke and Robert Cooks, his grandmother, Claudette Hardy, great-grandmother Elmira Mitchell, and his cousins, Jonathan Martin and Timothy Mielke.

Brandon was loved by all who knew him and will be sadly missed and will live forever in our hearts.

  • Theresa ( SCHUCH ) Woods says:

My deepest sympathy to the Mielke family. I did not know Brandon but I can see how many lives he touched may the memories you shared with him help you through this sad time. Revelation 21:3,4 says 3) ” … Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away” May this promise of a future hope bring you comfort at this time.

    With Deepest Sympathy,
    The James Woods’ family
