Foster Alonzo Poole was born in North Chicago, Illinois on February 15, 1959 to Foster and Marie Poole. He was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 57, on Friday June 3, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.
Foster was a 1977 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School, where he lettered as a member of the cross-country and track teams. He also attended the University of Wisconsin Parkside. He worked at Sears, MacWhyte, and Woodstock Nursing Home along with various other places of employment before joining the military. Foster proudly and honorably served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was a member of Parkside Baptist Church for 39 years. He loved the Lord and was a faithful Christian throughout his life. Foster was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed reading, pacing, Star Trek, Marvel comics and movies, and almost anything Sci-Fi. He had a hilarious sense of humor and often left family members in stitches.
Foster leaves to cherish his memory his siblings, Earl Perry, Ruthie (Earl) Presley, Diane Stocker, Melvin (Shelby) Poole, Danny (Susan) Poole, and Johnny (Carrie) Poole and a host of other cherished relatives and friends.
The Memorial Service will be held at Parkside Baptist Church (2620-14th Place) on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00AM at the church until the time of services. Interment at Green Ridge Cemetery with Military Honors will take place immediately after the service.

So very sorry to hear about this. Foster was such a great guy and I have so many wonderful memories. It was only with his encouragement that I made it as a member of the track team our junior year. I moved to Nashville, TN some years ago and we lost touch, unfortunately. I’d hoped he was going to be at our 20th high school reunion but he didn’t make it. One of our mutual friends – Frank Lucas – also wondered where Foster was. I wish now we had tried harder to find him. You always think there is plenty of time for such things. Gone way too soon and greatly missed. I also give my respects to Foster’s wonderful family. God bless Foster and his brothers and sister. I wish I could be there to say this and so much more.

Sorry to hear the passing of Foster.. I went to school with Foster and were friends for years. Had many good times hanging out together. From one Marine to another Semper Ti. You will always be my brother. May You Rest In Peace.
God Bless the Foster Poole family.

I will miss you even though I haven’t seen you since High School, we ran a great many miles together, from the basement at Bradford to the field of competition, I remember many conversations about our days of then. I had asked one of your brothers about you at Stan’s on a Friday during Lent last year, I hope he mentioned it. God bless you on your new journey. Amen.
