Mark Ekern

          Mark R. Ekern, age 59, a resident of Kenosha, died Friday

 October 9th, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Mark was born August 19th, 1956 in LaCrosse Wisconsin to Vernon and Joyce (Arenz) Ekern. Mark was a wonderful painter and was the owner of Metro Decorating.

In his spare time, Mark loved to hunt, fish and golf. He was an avid Packer fan and was known to friends and family alike as a fabulous cook. Mark had a great sense of humor and loved to dance. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Mark is survived by his mother Joyce Vojtisek, his brother Glen Ekern of Alabama, and by his six sisters, Bonnie Soto, Sharon (Bill) Buege, Charlene (Jon) Feczko, Ellen (David) Paielli, Donna (Robert) Thrams and Gail Ekern, all of Kenosha. He is survived in addition by his 13 nieces and nephews, his nine great nieces and nephews and many long time friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday October 15th, 2015 at the Kemper Center Founders Hall (6501-3rd ave.) at 6:00 PM with Pastor Dan Remus officiating. A time for visiting with the family will be held on Thursday at Founders Hall from 4:30 until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
