Pastor Jose R. Anzaldua, Sr. age 78 a resident of Kenosha was united with his creator on Thursday May 21st 2015
Born on February 12th 1937 in Hargill TX, he was the son of the late Pablo and Isabel (Davila) Anzaldua.
On August 2nd 1960 he married Delfina Contreras in Moorehead MN. They moved to Kenosha in 1968 from Lubbock, TX.
Jose, a pastor for 44 years at the Apostolic Missionary Church, was known as a fisher of men. He was a great family man and devoted husband. There were many things in life that brought him joy. However, no one more than his beautiful wife. The simple way he called her name made everyone aware he was truly in love. Hunting, being in nature, playing the saxophone and guitar, laughing, researching the bible, spreading the joy of God’s word, and being with his family were his favorite past times.
He is survived by his wife Delfina of Kenosha; two sons Pablo (Teresa) Anzaldua of Kenosha, Ricardo “Rick” (Susan) Anzaldua of Kenosha; three daughters Maria Diaz of Kenosha, Ester (Frank) Escobedo of Kenosha, Sara (Grant Mueller) Anzaldua of Milw. WI; fourteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Jose Jr., one granddaughter Veronica and one brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Apostolic Missionary Church that he founded four decades ago on Wednesday May 27th 2015 at 10:00AM. (5824-7th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday evening at the church from 5:00PM until 8:00PM. Burial will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
