Surrounded by her loving family, Kathleen J. Robinson, age 60, and a resident of Kenosha, lost her courageous two-year battle with cancer on Tuesday, October 11th 2011.
Born on October 11th 1951 in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Burt and Alene Margaret (Hill) Robinson.
She was educated in the schools in Kenosha. She graduated from Tremper High School and attended the University of Wisconsin – Parkside.
For 29 years, she was employed by the Kenosha News retiring in October 2009.
Her many talents included flower arranging, interior decorating and dollhouse miniatures. She adored animals and opened her heart and beautiful home to many rescued pets throughout the years.
She is survived by her daughter Heather A. (Chad) Navis of Pleasant Prairie, two sisters Linda M. (George) Becker, Palatine IL, and Brenda S. (John) Gustin, Kenosha, WI, five nieces and nephews, four great nieces/nephews, former husband Raymond Acerbi, Kenosha, WI, and many other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday October 14th 2011 at 11:00AM at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha (2001-80th Street). Visitation with the family will be on Friday at the church from 9:00AM until the time of services. Burial will follow in Springbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance, Inc., 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd., Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158 or Safe Harbor Humane Society, 7811 60th Ave., Kenosha, WI 53142 are greatly appreciated.
