Walter “Roamin Ron” Morse, age 71, a resident of Racine, died Monday January 25, 2010 at his residence.
Born on September 25, 1938 in Racine, he was the son of the late Walter Morse and Vera Baer (Wilson).
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal.
On November 7, 1964 he married Karon Baker at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Racine.
He was employed as a cement finisher at Thomforde Concrete and retired in 2000.
He loved fishing as well as bow and rifle hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Karon of Racine, WI one son Ty Morse (Char Appel) of Blair, WI and one daughter Beth (Rich) Fandry of Franksville,WI. He is also survived by his mother Vera Baer, one sister Sue Jensen of Eagle River, WI and sister-in-law Sharon Edwards, and brother and sister in law Clay and Joy Baker. He is further survived by five grandchildren Cody Morse, Casey Morse, Kristine Fandry, Ryan Fandry and Dustin Fandry and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father Walter Morse, Mother and Father-in-law Lester and Magalene Baker and brother-in-law Steve Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 30, 2010 at Westlawn Memorial Park Chapel in Racine at 11:30AM followed by a brief Memorial Service at 12:30PM.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials would be appreciated to Hospice Alliance or the Pancreatic Cancer Fund.
