Sue Ellen Jones

Sue Ellen Jones, 85, daughter of the late Lawrence C. Jones, Sr. and Edith A. (Buswell) Jones, passed away on October 15^th, 2026.

Sue was born on August 12^th, 1941, at Kenosha Memorial Hospital and attended McKinley Elementary and McKinley Junior High Schools before graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School in June of 1959. She worked at Great Lakes Naval Training Center from June 1959 in various capacities before retiring as Secretary to the Director of Personnel in 1988. She then worked as Secretary for the Kenosha Public Schools Director of Fine Arts from September of 1988 until retiring in October 2003.

                Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Elizabeth (William) Runde, Nancy (Al) Mohrbacher, and Lawrence (Barbara) Jones. She was also preceded in death by her nephew Michael Runde.

                Sue is survived by nieces Dawn (Brian) Duplak of Florida, and Susan Weisbrod and Jennifer Babilon of Racine; and nephews Jeffery (Michelle) Runde and Daniel Runde of Florida.

                Sue is further survived by many dear friends – including lifelong best friend Kathy Ford – all of whom she enjoyed and appreciated very much.

                Sue will be laid to rest in a private ceremony as she requested.
