Theodore “Ted” Patrick Ironside, 67, suddenly passed on October 2, 2026, at his home from natural causes. He was the son of the late Gerald and Marianne (Finnegan) Ironside, born October 10, 1958.
Ted was more than his cravings and life long battles with addiction and sobriety. He will be remembered by his family, neighbors, and friends for his infectious smile, fun loving spirit, strong fight, and everything in between the chaos of a debilitating, hard fought disease.
Ted was born and raised in Kenosha attended local schools and graduated from Tremper High School. The majority of his career he was a machine operator. In his early years, Ted was a chef and continued to love to cook for family gatherings. He recently retired from Kenall Manufacturing.
Farming, a love for horses and dogs was in his blood. He spent many years working on local horse farms and was a life long member of the Kenosha County Fair. His constant companion for 13 years was his dog, George S.
After an accident in 2002, he vowed to give back and help others who needed blood during emergencies. He recently proudly completed his 15th Gallon, 120 pints at Versiti Blood Bank.
Above all else, Ted loved his extended family. He displayed photos and momentos of all of them throughout his home at all stages of their lives and spoke proudly of their achievements, big and small.
He attended St. Mary Catholic Church, Kenosha, WI.
Ted is survived by his siblings Terri (John) Clarke; Tim (Debbie) Ironside; Todd Ironside; Tracie (David) Clanaugh; and Tami (John) Rakow. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews – Amy, Ellen, Allison; Amber, Andrew; Mari, Helen, Arryn; Kelsi, Ian, and 8 great nieces and nephews.
He is overjoyed to be reunited with his mother who passed in February 2026; his beloved dog; his father; great niece, MacKenzie Ironside; grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of memorials, if you are able, give a pint of blood in his honor to your local blood bank or better yet, become a lifetime donor.

Pat Bachhuber says:
This appeared on my feed because of a mutual friend. It could have been the story of my precious brother too. I know the pain and love of the struggles that these beautiful souls endure in life. My brother will welcome yours in heaven today. I am so sorry for the loss of this dear man from your lives. Three years away from my loss, I have grown to know peace and even joy for my brother now instead of fear and sadness. God bless you in your grief.
