Barbara Z. Kodlubanski

Barbara Z. Kodlubanski, age 71, passed away at Harbor Village Assisted Living in Greendale, WI, on September 12^th, 2026. She was born on August 17^th, 1955, in Chicago, IL, to the late Edwin J. and Evelyene (Pennington) Zurawski. She graduated from Rezin Orr High School in Chicago in 1973. She later attended Northern Illinois University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree and later a master’s degree. For over 20 years, she worked at the Chicago Board of Trade before retiring in 2016 to take care of her late husband. Barbara was passionate about politics, reading and music. She attended church frequently and was a devout Catholic. She also loved taking care of her beloved cat Mama Blueberry.

Barbara is survived by her brother: James (Mary) Zurawski, niece and nephew: Piers (Ashley) Zurawski and Claire (Lilya) Gerner a granddaughter: Zoe, sister in law: Christine and lifelong friends Dedra and Steve, and her late husband Peter’s best friend: RJ. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Peter Kodlubanski (2007) and Kenneth Johnson (2018), and a brother: Joseph Zurawski.

As per Barbara’s wishes, a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
