Karen L Covington, age 68, a resident of Kenosha, died Wednesday January 27, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
Karen was born on December 8, 1941 to Louis Kadlac and Dagmar Jacobson. She was born in Racine and moved to Kenosha as a young girl. Karen was a Bradford High School graduate ? class of 1959.
On October 26, 1963 Karen married Gary Covington at St. Mary?s Lutheran Church. Karen worked for the city of Kenosha in the service garage for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing pool in local tavern leagues and enjoyed cooking and baking. She was known by many as a caregiver.
Karen is survived by her husband, Gary of Kenosha and one son Chris Covington of Kenosha. She is also survived by on grandchild Jacob Davault. She is further survived by five brothers Jeff (Susan) Kadlac of Reynoldburg, OH, Ken (Kathy) Jensen of MI, Lynn Jensen of Cudahy, WI, Jack (Mary) Jensen of Oak Creek, WI, Tim (Kandi) Jensen of Kenosha, two sisters Janet (Dave) Niccolai of Pleasant Prairie and Melody (Fred) Ashland of Oak Creek, WI and sister-in-law Geri Jensen.
Karen was preceded in death by her father Louis Kadlac, mother Dagmar Jensen, step father Bernard (Buzz) Jensen, and one sister Debra J. Kadlac.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday January 31, 2010 at Kemper Center?s Founders Hall (6501 3rd Ave) at 5:00PM. Visitation with the family will be held from 3:00PM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated.
