Dolores Mae Leonard

Dolores Mae Leonard, age 87, of Kenosha, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on January 6^th, 2026.

She was born on August 2^nd, 1938, to the late Henry E. Leonard and Anita M. (Krogh) Leonard. She attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School as a member of the Honor Society. Dolores was a dedicated mother to three children and always cherished the holidays spent with her family. She worked in the secretarial pool at Snap-On Tools in her early years. She later worked at Kenosha Memorial Hospital as a unit secretary for many years before being promoted to administrative assistant for executives. She married Edward Legler and the two would later divorce. Dolores enjoyed volunteering at the Kenosha Public Museum and was a member of the Lakeside Players.

Dolores is survived by her children: Neva (Bill) Hileman, Brenda Lura, Lance (Cyndi) Legler, grandchildren: Gary (Jessica) Baase, Jose (LaToya Gordon) DeAnda, Tabitha (Jerod) Lecher and Nick Dahlquist, 12 great grandchildren, and a sister: Norma J. Leonard.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents William and Selma Krogh and a brother Billy.

As per the family’s wishes, services will be held privately.
