Corrine Bates (1928 – 2010)

Corrine L. Bates, age 81, a resident of Sturtevant died Friday February 12 2010 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints in Racine.

Corrine was born on May 16, 1928 to Gerald Goodsell and Violet (nee Bliven) in Racine, WI. She attended Holy Name School and St. Catherine’s High School. She graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1966. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for 7 years and at Ridgewood Nursing Home for 20 years. Corrine retired in January of 1990.

Corrine is survived by sons Gilbert (Roxanne) Bates, Jerry (Terry) Bates, Theodore (Betty) Bates and daughter Jessica (Jesse Grandy) Bates. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Brian, (Rhonda) Steven (Bernadine) Erik, Kimberly (Sands Ruffalo) Ian and Edwin, Bates and Andrea Grandy, and two great grandchildren Nathian Bates and Cami Ruffalo. Corrine is further survived by dear friends Jean Anderson and Anne Clausen.

Committal services will be held on Thursday February 18th 2010 at 11:00AM at Westlawn Memorial Park in Racine.
