Joyce M. Brown

Joyce Marie Brown (nee Wilmot), a resident of Kenosha, passed away on October 14th 2025. She was 81 years old.

Joyce was born in Duluth Minnesota to loving parents Douglas and June Wilmot. She grew up and attended local schools in Proctor Minnesota. In her senior year of high school, she moved with her family to Kenosha. She worked for many years at the Supervalu Warehouse as an administrative assistant before retiring about 20 years ago to spend more time with her family and enjoy life.

In her spare time Joyce liked to crochet, read, and spend time with her family. She was also an avid camper and was an active member at Fellowship Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending anymore. Above everything was her love for her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids. She will always be remembered for her dry and sarcastic sense of humor and was always there when she was needed.

Survivors include her two sons Joseph (Theresa) Brown of La Crosse WI, and Jason (Jeannette) Brown of Kenosha; four daughters Sherri (Greg) Savaglia of Amberg WI, Jeanette Dunn of Lowell MA, Karen Robinson of Kenosha WI, and Robin (Dan) Eisenhauer of Kenosha WI.  She is further survived by her many grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids, and by her older brother Gordon (Marj) Wilmot.

Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Brown in 2022, her parents Douglas and June Wilmot, and her children Jill Brown and Jacki Brown.

Joyce’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to Hospice Alliance and to the staff of Brookside Care Center where Joyce spent her last few years.

Her family will miss her greatly, but they take solace knowing she is back with Tom in the presence of The Lord.

Services for Joyce will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church on Thursday October 30th. Visitation with the family will be at 12pm with a memorial prayer service at 1pm.
