Juanita (Milkent) Pflueger, age 90, of Salem, WI, passed away on August 6th, 2025, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI. She was born on November 20th, 1934, to John and Leona (Walter) Milkent of Kenosha. On September 12th, 1953, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Pflueger at St. Mary’s Church in Kenosha. They had been married for 64 years until his passing in 2017. Together they raised their children in Salem. Juanita was a former member of Holy Name Parish in Wilmot, where she was the president of the Holy Name Women’s group, member of the parish council, sang in the choir, headed the activities communion and a communion distributor. For 30 years she was an officer and board member of the Salem Oaks Community Association. She enjoyed playing cards and games, coaching, gardening, swimming, the Green Bay Packers, Nascar and so enjoyed the activities and many friends at the Westosha Senior Center in Bristol. Most of all, spending time with family. She then found a home with great people at Heritage Church in Round Lake Beach, Illinois. Besides her husband Lawrence, she was preceded in death by parents: John and Leona Milkent, brothers: John and Robert Milkent, sister: Joan Kunz, and son in law James Jensen. She is survived by her children: Mark (Denise) Pflueger, Laurie Jensen, Steven (Elene) Pflueger and Scott (Liny) Pflueger, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
As per Juanita’s wishes, inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Lawrence.
