Arleen Ann (Rhode) Strangberg, 93, of Kenosha, died July 20, 2025.
Arleen was born Jan. 2, 1932, in Kenosha, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Lipovsky) Rhode. She was educated in Kenosha schools.
She married Eugene Strangberg in 1950. He preceded her in death Aug. 20, 2009.
In high school, Arleen was a forensic champion, traveling about the country to demonstrate her skills in presenting matters both humorous and persuasive. It was a legacy she’d continue with her family. Arleen did not suffer fools gladly.
She did very much enjoy the company of her family, and the happy years in retirement that she, her husband and family spent at their summer getaway in Green Lake, Wis.
Arleen is survived by her daughter, Robin Potente, of Kenosha; and sons John (Heidi), of Kenosha, and
Scott (Lori), of Brookfield. She is further survived by three grandchildren, Joseph (Rachel) Potente of Pleasant Prairie, and Katherine and Maxwell of Brookfield; brother James Rhode of Kenosha; great-grandchildren Bianca and Tom; and nieces, nephews and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister Dolores Van Noort; and brother Frank Rhode.
Donations in Arleen’s memory may be offered to Brookside Care Center or Hospice Alliance. A private family service will be held.

Robin, I have not seen you in a long time. I send my condolences. Such a beautiful picture of your mom. You were certainly blessed to have her around for so long.
